Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is an award-winning hospital and community services trust with a workforce of over 3,500 and 350 committed volunteers serving a population of over 200,000 people across West and North Yorkshire and East Lancashire. We have an unwavering focus on securing the future for our Trust for the benefit of the diverse population that we serve. We are proud to be an anchor institution in our local area and we continue to develop our approach to the sustainability agenda with an ambition to become a carbon neutral hospital.
We are committed to the continued integration of health and care services locally and to working regionally through the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership, West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts (WYAAT) and Act as One programme across Bradford District and Craven to ensure the sustainable delivery of high-quality services across our wider population. We also provide a range of telehealth services, both locally and in to almost 900 care homes nationally.
Our new Chief Operating Officer will play a key role in driving the overall vision of the Trust, building on strong foundations in quality and financial performance and a track record of effective engagement with our colleagues and our partners across the health and care economy. You will lead the delivery of the day to day Operations of the Trust and work closely with peers and partners across WYAAT, primary and social care and the Act as One Programme to address elective recovery, improve patient flow and identify opportunities for service transformation. You will also have a key role with partners, as we seek to radically alter the current hospital dominated delivery model to one that is based on diversified services delivered at the most appropriate point for patients.
For this pivotal Board position, we are keen to hear from experienced operational leaders, with experience at either Director or Deputy Director level, gained within a similarly complex health and care setting. A collaborative, innovative and transformational leader, you will be a champion for diversity and inclusion and you will role model our Right Care leadership behaviors in all that you do. You will be committed, with executive colleagues, to ensuring that we continue to put people first and deliver the right care, every time; keeping people ‘happy, healthy and at home’.
The Trust aspires to be truly representative of the population we serve and we welcome applications from people of diverse backgrounds and who can evidence understanding of the needs of the communities served by the Trust.
